I've taken a few turns with Deno over the years as I think the ideas behind the project are great. But the edges have always seemed too sharp for me to use it for anything more than a toy. Deno 2.0 is a big step towards making it a more practical runtime for more than just toy projects. It's nearly a drop in replacement for Node.js with this release. I'm excited to see where it goes from here.
